"I almost cried leaving there"
This was an absolutely amazing semi luxury hotel. Hotel was nice and big - 10 floors and it had everything.
The staff were ever so helpful, i sent them an email, facebook, booking.com review and more just because i was so impressed by them and wanted them to know my appreciation. I was checked in by long tran who had good english and gave me great advise, the check in was speedy and to the point.
The girls at reception work hard and cover everything from breakfast to check in and check out and give great information about where to go and what to do. English levels are perfect for Vietnam and these people really work hard to make sure us customers have great and lovely stays, Vietnamese locals are not the friendliest or most helpful but the staff here makes you forget about all of that and treat you with nothing but respect and kindness and always smile to you WITHOUT FAIL each time you go past!
Located on Hang Gai street aka silk street this is where all silk products are sold at decent rates but you must haggle down!
Night market is a left turning from the hotel and a 30 second walk
Hoan Kiem lake is 2 minutes away from the hotel by turning left
All other sights are within 15-20 minutes by walk!
A tip for good coffee is manh coffee shop which if you take a right outside the hotel and the the second right and walk halfway down that road for the best egg and condensed milk coffee!
The room was decent sized i requested a high floor and got it although i thought i paid for a window room but obviously not. Snacks provided each day such as snickers, oreos, crisps and 2 water bottles free of charge (no point in having the minibar) nice big comfortable bed, wall mounted 32 inch television, a office desk and chair to sit down and work from if need be, bath robes provided aswell as slippers, 2 satchets of g7 3 in 1 instant coffee (the best coffee ever) plus lotus jasmine green tea. Everything inside the room is up for sale if you decide you do want it however the items are extremely expensive and cheaper on hang gai aka silk street.
The hotel and rooms have been designed perfectly almost as if by a fashion designer and the duvets, bed sheets, bath robes, water bottle covers, towels etc have all been hand made by the thuy ky silk shop on the lower floor of the hotel.
By the lift of every floor there is also a leg/foot massaging machine which is perfect as you will need it after long walks during the day.
Breakfast had a decent selection if a bit small but the special menu of pancakes with pineapple/banana/apple and pho and noodles and omlette is a great touch, plenty of space to sit down and never packed out nor is there any rush for you to finish by the staff.
Not much but there is a rooftop sitting area which is great when not windy to sit down and have a ca-phe or a cigarrette.
Foot massaging machine
In all i was very sad to say goodbye to the hotel, old quarter and the staff if i ever go Hanoi again it would be the noble boutique hotel i stay at and even if i did not want to go Hanoi just to see the smiles on the faces of the staff is enough reason to go one more time!
